| Features and Description |
STMicroelectronics, a leader in
protection technology, has introduced the newest ESD diodes array
devices in ultra small micro leadframe packages. The new devices
are designed to protect equipments from degrading or damage caused
by the electricial static discharge(ESD). Thanks to the
small size, these devices are ideal for ESD protection
on designs where board space is at a premium, such as cellular
phones, digital cameras, MP3 and many other portable applications.
The new devices offer ESD protection from 1 line to 5 lines
application, which will fully meet your expectation on
the design flexibility.
ESDALC6V1M3 is a low capacitance device with
two ESD diodes integrated in SOT883 package. This
device can be used as 1 line or 2 lines ESD protection in
various kinds of application. The diode capacitance of this device
is around 7pF (VR=2.5V), which makes
it suitable for high speed data lines or other I/O interfaces. SOT883 is
an ultra small package with the size of 0.6mm2,
which provides up to 50% space saving comparing
to SOD523 package. For 2 lines application, the space consumption
is only 0.3mm2 per line that is even smaller than 0402
package.
ESDA(LC)6V1M6 and ESDA(LC)6V1-5M6 are
respectively 4 line and 5 line ESD diodes array in micro
leadframe package (micro QFN). Two kinds of diode capacitances
are available to meet different requirement by the application in
terms of data rate, power dissipation, etc. The diode capacitance
is less than 7pF (VR=2.5V) for ESDALC6V1xxM6 series
and 41pF (VR=2.5V) for ESDA6V1xxM6 series.
The micro QFN-6L is the smallest plastic package
on the market for ESD array devices with up to 5 diodes integrated.
The package size is only 1.45mm x 1.0mm with 6 pins, which provides 44%
spacing saving comparing to current SOT666.
All these new devices provide ESD protection against surges up to 15kV, meeting
the IEC61000-4-2 level 4 specification for ESD immunity. |
