In terms of ESD
protection, two product families are available:
clamping or rail-to-rail devices.
Rail to rail solution uses two fast diodes connected to
voltage references per data line to be protected. This solution
is especially recommended for dedicated datalines ports,
such as USB, DVI, HDMI, DSI, SATA.
ESDAxx clamping solution uses planar monolithic technology.
This family offers highly integrated solutions in micropackages
from 2 to 18 lines and is also available in flip-chip (CSP)
packages.
They are mainly used to protect general purpose circuits
against electrostatic discharge (ESD) such as IEC 61000-4-2,
MILSTD 883E. |
